Welcome To DDS 

Message from the President-DDS

I am ecstatic and honored to be serving DDS and it is my distinct pleasure to greet you in my capacity as President-DDS.

Albert Einstein believed that :
 "all that is valuable to human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded the individual".

Herein lies my motivation to serve. I have adopted this quote as the lighthouse that will guide me. The leader within me has been awakened  to serve  Renaissance- The DERAyans Debating & Literary Society.


While we tread the path towards empowerment, let us use the lessons of the past as a spring board from which we may leap into future phenomenal success. Together, let us become empowered to change our world!. Surely, with God as our guide; energy, invincible determination and the right vision, we possess the levers that can move the world.  Join us, as together we enlighten and develop ourselves in competence so we can be the great leaders of tomorrow.

Code of Honor:



The Code of Honour consists of an oath and five tenets.







"As a member of the Renaissance - The DERAyans Debating Society (DDS) I pledge to uphold the highest standards of integrity, humility, respect, leadership and service in the pursuit of excellence."





Integrity: An honourable society member obeys the highest ethical standards and adheres to the rules of the Society. Members recognize that integrity is central to earning the trust, respect, and support of one's peers. Integrity encompasses the highest regard for honesty, civility, justice, and fairness.

Humility: A member does not regard him or herself more highly than others. Regardless of a person's level of success, he or she always looks beyond oneself to appreciate the inherent value of others.

Respect: A member respects individual differences and fosters diversity. He or she promotes tolerance, inclusion, and empowerment for people from a variety of backgrounds.

Leadership: A member influences others to take positive action toward productive change. Members commit to thoughtful and responsible leadership that promotes the other core values in the Code of Honour.

Service: A member exercises the talents he or she has been given to provide service to his or her peers, community, and the activity. At all times a member is prepared to work constructively to improve the lives of others.


Missions, Visions & Values

  • DDS contributes in students (youth) skill development by working in partnership with academic staff of the affiliated institution to provide professional, quality, innovative and accessible services.
  • DDS Fosters a caring, positive and unique environment.
  • DDS recognizes diversity, adapt communication skills, become culturally sensitive and responsive to change.
  • DDS strives to provide coordinated services that are student focused and are integrated with those of the wider national societies.

All DDS cares about is :

  • The well-being of all students.
  • Being innovative in its approach to problem solving.
  • Always responding in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Embracing diversity.
  • Positively affirming student achievements.
  • Working at all times with the highest levels of professionalism, ethical behaviour and practices.
  • Working to ensure access ability of society services.
  • Working in a co-operative, collaborative manner with enthusiasm and humour.

GOALS of DDS:

Goal 1: The learning environment


To support a safe and stimulating learning environment.


Objectives
  • To develop life skills of high level learnings.
  • To provide holistic pastoral care for all students.
  • To contribute services that support a unique experience and meet the needs of the Dera Ismail Khan youth population



Goal 2: Access and participation

To provide support and services which are inclusive and accessible to all students of affiliated institutions.


Objectives
  • To ensure an awareness of services by appropriate promotion and advertising.
  • To ensure all those providing services are resourced to meet the needs of diverse institutions, groups and students.
  • To organise work-shops under the guidance of highly talented and expert speakers and writers.
  • To provide the best ever platform for the character, mind, skills and talent development.
  • To provide exposure to all the members of society as well as all the students of affiliated institutions.
  •  Expose students to diverse cultures and backgrounds through society services.

Goal 3: Appreciation

A student needs nothing but the appreciation of elders. DDS ensures the appreciation and constant buck-up attitude to all the students.
